Location:                Tamiami Park Pool – Miami, Florida.  Phone # (305-223-7077)

 

Directions:            Tamiami Park  Pool ,11201 SW 24 Street: (From Broward) ; Florida Turnpike south to Turnpike extension (sign will read Homestead ext.)continue on extension and exit (toll $.25)  at Southwest 8TH  Street  East (Tamiami Trail). Continue East approximately 1 mile to SW 107 Avenue - Turn right (South) continue 1 mile to SW 24 Street (Coral Way)  - Turn right (West) .  The entrance to Tamiami Park is directly ahead at 112 Avenue (Turn Right)  Enter  Tamiami , pool facility is on your left (Building with fenced in area).

 

Pool:                       25 yard by 50 meter pool. Competition pool– Short Course Yards.  The remainder of the pool will be available for continuous warm-up & warm-down. Colorado Timing System will be used along with Hytek meet scoring system.

 

Dates & Times:                Session I - Friday – March 09, 2001. Warm-up 3:00 pm. Meet starts 4:30 pm.

                                Note: All events this day are TIMED FINALS.

 

                                Session II - Saturday – March 10, 2001. Warm-up 7:00 am. Meet starts 8:30 am.

                                Finals / Warm-up: 4:30 pm. Meet starts 6:00 pm.

 

                                Session III - Saturday – March 10, 2001. Warm-up 11:00 am. Meet starts 12:30 pm.

                                Finals / Warm-up: 4:30 pm. Meet starts 6:00 pm.

 

                                Session IV - Sunday – March 11, 2001. Warm-up 7:00 am. Meet starts 8:30 am.

                                Finals / Warm-up: 4:30 pm. Meet starts 6:00 pm.

 

                                Session V - Sunday – March 11, 2001. Warm-up 11:00 am. Meet starts 12:30 pm.

                                Finals / Warm-up: 4:30 pm. Meet starts 6:00 pm.

 

Eligibility:                Open to all 2001 registered USA Swimmers who have not achieved Junior Olympic qualifying time standard in

his/her event.

Electronic Entries: Friday – March 2, 2001 – 6:00 pm Eastern.  Entries will be accepted via electronic mail attachment to Maccoach27@aol.com or via mailed 1.44 mb disk. Entries must be in USA Swimming SDIF format. Free text e-mail entries will not be accepted. Disk or e-mailed entries must be accompanied by a backup hard copy of the entry. List all attending coaches and contact phone numbers in the e-mail. Corrupted, unreadable or incorrectly formatted files must be corrected within 24 hours. Errors in entries submitted electronically are the responsibility of the applicant. Electronic mail confirmation will be sent upon receipt of file.

 

COMPLETED FINANCIAL RECAP FORMS AND FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ALL MAILED ENTRIES. TEAMS SUBMITTING ELECTRONIC ENTRIES MUST PRESENT THE COMPLETED FORMS AND FEES PRIOR TO THEIR SWIMMERS EVENT.

Entry Limit:                 Each swimmer will be limited to 3 individual events per day.

 

Entry Form:           Entries will be submitted on enclosed entry form which also serves as proof of Entry. The current USA Swimming number of each swimmer must be listed on the entry form. The UNA box must be checked for UNATTACHED swimmers. Entries may be submitted by team management computer program printout provided that they are sorted by sex not event and contain the same information as the master entry form.

 

Entry Fees:                $3.00 per individual event.

                                $1.00 swimmer surcharge for swimmers in one day only.

                                $3.00 swimmer surcharge for swimmers entered more than one day.

Scratches:           No penalty for scratches in preliminaries, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DECK SEEDED EVENTS. Any swimmer checked in and seeded for a deck seeded event who fails to swim the event will be barred from the next individual event entered that day or the next meet day whichever is first.

FINALS: Swimmers that qualify for finals must notify the clerk of the course that they may not intend to swim in finals within 30 minutes of the announcement of qualifiers and further declare their intentions within 30 minutes of the completion of their last individual preliminary event. Any swimmer who qualifies for a final race, does not scratch, and then fails to compete in said finals will be barred from the next individual event in the meet. The swimmer will not be penalized due to injury or illness as determined by the Meet Referee.

 

Seeding:                Short Course Yard Times will be used for entry and seeding. Championship Finals ONLY.

Top 8 swimmers qualify for finals.

Rules:                    Current USA Swimming Rules will govern this meet. Safety rules as outlined by USA Swimming and as recommended by the referee, will be in effect during all warm-up periods and in all warm-up areas.

 

Concessions:                Refreshments / Hospitality available during the entire meet.

 

Admission:                Prelims and Finals -                  $2.00 each session.            Heat Sheet -                $2.00 each session.
